Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Chrysalis AI LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Chrysalis," "we," "us"), covering your use of Chrysalis Money at chrysalismoney.com (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't, don't use the Service.

1. What the Service is

Chrysalis Money is software that keeps a written record of what you own and what you believe about it, prepares a recurring review (the Sitdown) from that record, and uses an AI model to pressure-test your reasoning and record what you decided.

It is not investment advice. Chrysalis does not recommend that you buy, sell, or hold anything. She does not vote, approve, or manage money. Every decision is yours. Chrysalis AI LLC is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial planner, and nothing in the Service is a substitute for one.

AI output can be wrong. Responses are generated by a language model working from your record and third-party price data. They can be incomplete, out of date, or mistaken. Verify anything you act on.

2. Who can use it

Chrysalis Money is currently available by invitation to Texas residents. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract. You must give accurate account information and keep your login secure. You're responsible for everything done under your account. One person per account.

3. Brokerage connections

You may connect brokerage or exchange accounts through SnapTrade, a third-party service with its own terms. Connections are read-only: the Service cannot trade, transfer, or alter anything in your accounts. You can disconnect at any time at your brokerage, or by emailing us and we'll remove the connection. We are not responsible for the accuracy or timeliness of data your brokerage provides, or for the availability of the connection.

4. Subscription and billing

Chrysalis Money is a paid subscription, billed monthly ($45 a month) or yearly ($520 a year). The current price is stated on chrysalismoney.com and chrysalisai.app at the time you subscribe.

The first 30 days are free. Your card goes on file when you subscribe and nothing is charged until the trial ends. Then your plan renews automatically, every month or every year, until you cancel — cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing.

Cancel any time from Manage billing. You keep access to the end of the period you've paid for.

Refunds: if you cancel a yearly plan within 30 days of a yearly charge, we refund that charge in full. Otherwise there are no refunds, including for partial months or years.

Founder pricing applies while your subscription remains continuously active. If you cancel, the founder price ends.

We'll give at least 30 days' notice before any price change that applies to you.

5. Your content

You own what you enter: your holdings, reads, theses, notes, and messages. You give us a license to store, process, and display that content as needed to run the Service, including sending it to our AI provider to generate responses. We don't use it to train models and we don't sell it. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

You agree not to enter content you don't have the right to, and not to use the Service to store anything unlawful.

6. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to access other users' data, reverse-engineer the Service, overload or attack it, scrape it, resell it, or use it for anything illegal. Don't try to make the AI produce content that violates our provider's usage policies. We can suspend or close accounts that do any of this.

7. Our property

The Service, its design, its name, and its copy belong to Chrysalis AI LLC. You get a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use it under these terms. Nothing here transfers ownership of any of it to you.

8. Availability and changes

We're a small company building an early product. The Service may go down, change, or lose features. We'll try to give notice of material changes but don't promise uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue the Service; if we discontinue it, we'll give you a reasonable window to export your record.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT PRICE DATA, BROKERAGE DATA, OR AI-GENERATED CONTENT IS ACCURATE OR COMPLETE. INVESTING INVOLVES RISK, INCLUDING THE POSSIBLE LOSS OF PRINCIPAL, AND YOU BEAR THAT RISK ENTIRELY.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHRYSALIS AI LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, CONTRACTORS, AND PROVIDERS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR INVESTMENT VALUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations; in those places these limits apply as far as the law permits.

11. Indemnity

You'll defend and hold Chrysalis AI LLC harmless from claims arising out of your content, your violation of these terms, or your violation of anyone's rights.

12. Termination

You can close your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections 5, 7, and 9 through 14 survive termination.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in McLennan County, Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Before filing, contact us; most problems can be settled in an email.

14. General

These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about the Service. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stands. We may update these terms; we'll post the new version with a new effective date and note material changes in the product. Continued use after that date means the new terms apply. You can't assign this agreement; we can, in connection with a sale or merger.
